Project Coordinator
Overview:
- Expedite deliveries of materials, services and equipment to meet scheduled dates as set by Planning.
- Organizes production and installation information for specified projects
- Accomplishes manufacturing staff results by communicating job paperwork, drawings and plans to proper shop personnel.
- Responsible for all production status communication with all company departments, and primarily the Project Management Department,
- Monitors work flow for Production and Project Management Departments by monitoring steps of the process; monitoring personnel and resources; studying methods.
- Provides hands-on assistance when required to accomplish production tasks.
Specification:
- Reviews production release packages for completeness and correctness.
- Coordinates assembly of products and components as required.
- Review production items against releases, schedules, bills of materials and location schedules.
- Review inventoried stock items and coordinate with Purchasing.
- Review hardware requirements for fabrication and installation.
- Contact suppliers on a regular basis to expedite deliveries.
- Verifies receipt of items by comparing items received to items ordered; resolves shipments in error with suppliers.
- Remain in constant contact with the relevant parties and stake holders to ensure that purchased materials and services meet schedule requirements.
- Provide schedule updates to meet delivery requirements. This will include but not be limited to delivery dates and manufacturing lead-times.
- Continually monitor suppliers to ensure progress against purchase orders or contracts are in line with scheduled delivery(s).
- Provide documentation and information to account for delays, difficulties, or other changes to scheduled deliveries.
- Assists with and performs Quality Control inspections of product.
- Track progress of work and report to Production Coordinator and Shop Superintendent.
- Identify needed resources to maintain schedule and communicate to Shop Superintendent.
- Coordinates with Logistics Department; reviews Packing Slips to confirm they are correct, acts as direct communication with D/E and MRP
- Installation Documents –reviews documents to confirm they are complete, correct and that all necessary information is present.
- Organize with Production Coordinator incomplete install paperwork.

Qualifications:
- Education
- Associate degree or 10+ years experience in fabricaiton.
- Experience & Job Training
- 10+ years experience in fabricaiton.
- Proven working knowledge of metal fabrication.
- Proven knowledge of construction/installation processes.
